OMG it's your First Year in Pathways
Dear first year pathway student,
Well what can I say that will actually help you in your first year in college and pathways? One thing that you need to be aware of once you start college is knowing how to communicate with others especially your professor and coaches. I advise you to actually join clubs and try to make friendships with others. No, not everyone you begin meet come from the same city as you or have the same ethic background as you which is a good thing. In college there is a wider diversity then in an other high school so if your not open to the idea of mingling with people from different ethic backgrounds, you should try and rap your mind around that, especially in Pathways. Another thing that you should know is that you need to keep deadlines in mind all the time and try not to miss any. After this semester is over I myself am going to try doing better at that so I advise you to keep a calendar near by and always check.
The fact that you'll be able to check your schedule and make it on your own, you should try and make it to best fit the times you can. Try not being late to any of your class because many professor don't like that. Participation is also something that really does affect your grade so try and get involved in all your class. For pathways you really should try and go to the TLC and talk to your coach. They also really help with college transfer and with any questions you have. They're there to help you with any problems you have. As a first year student do all that you can and never give up with anything. If you need help use the resource given to you by the school and pathways, it really will help you with college. My first months I didn't use the pathways resources but when I finally did go I felt dumb that I hadn't used the TLC before.
Aside from doing all work, you should try and get involve with campus things like club. From experience joining a club is fun and you meet really fun and new people
