This semester I had the pleasure of joining the T.R.O.P.A club. The club stands for The Reunited Organization of Pilipino Americans. Even though that I'm not Pilipino I joined the club because it seemed fun and when I was walking about the club fair this club was the only one that really caught my attention. Going to the meeting taught me a lot about filipinos, not that I didn't know much about them already. One of my best friends is Pilipino so learning more about her heritage was nice. I joined the club with a friend named Maria but in the club I quickly made new friends because everyone was really nice and friendly.
During the club not only did I go to every meeting but I actually joined the friendship games. These games reunite all Pilipino clubs form California to meet and show off their skills. We had practices everyday form 4-6 from a month straight and the experiences were nice. I took part in the dance that taught me. We actually danced to parts of Mulan the Disney movie songs. The dance was fun, short, but precise. PCC came in 4th place this year, which is really good for a community college with little members compared to universities that had much more people in their clubs.
